Team Repair lets students get hands-on fixing real gadgets, inspiring the next generation of sustainably minded engineers and scientists.

Overview

Team Repair offers teacher-led workshops and classroom repair kits that challenge students to disassemble, repair, build, and test broken electronic gadgets.

Taking real products apart and figuring out how to fix them in a series of activities and experiments, students see science concepts they learn at school come to life. By understanding how real-world technology works - and is repaired - students gain valuable practical skills and are introduced to careers in engineering, sustainability, and the circular economy.

Teachers don't need any repair experience to deliver a workshop. All gadgets and repair tools are included and teachers are supported to run up to 3 hours of activity per gadget with training guides, integrated videos, and materials to explore STEM curriculum topics.

Team Repair workshops are available in the following formats:

  • An individual workshop that gives students a sneak peak into one of the Team Repair gadgets, which can be selected from their gadget catalogue found on their website.
  • A 12-week programme with 4 gadget repairs, including a retro games console, microscope, wind-up torch, and RC car, that takes students from first-time fixers to tech wizards!

Schools in London can request a Team Repair member to deliver the workshop for an additional cost.
