
Plan your visit at The Big Bang Fair
We can't wait to inspire your class with STEM at the UK's biggest celebration of STEM for young people. The Big Bang Fair take place on 9 to 11 June in Birmingham, at the NEC. The Fair will be full of exciting workshops, live shows and activities for students to explore.
It's an opportunity to meet real scientists and engineers, find out more about STEM careers and ask questions. The event is completely free, and is open to UK state-funded school groups only in:
- year 6 to year 8 (England and Wales)
- P7 to S2 (Scotland)
- year 7 to year 9 (Northern Ireland)
Schools can explore The Fair in our morning session (9am to 12pm) or afternoon session (1pm to 4pm). Group sizes are limited to 100 people. Make sure you arrive on time, so you can get started with our incredible activities straight away.

Big Bang Explore
Win big and get stuck in with an exciting visitor treasure trail at The Big Bang Fair. It's been designed by our expert careers team to get your class thinking, practicing skills and talking to STEM professionals.
Students will get the opportunity to build a sticker collection, spark their imagination and take the Meet the Future You careers quiz. Plus, they'll get to meet and greet with scientists, engineers and STEM professionals as they explore The Big Bang Fair.
It's completely free to take part. Young people can bundle up into teams, or go solo and explore individually. Complete 3 quests during your session at The Big Bang Fair, and hand your entry in as you leave for a chance to win £100!

Live stage shows
See incredible live stage shows at The Big Bang Fair for free! Included in your free tickets - 2 interactive shows will take place each session. Specifically designed for students in year 6 to year 8, they'll take your class on an exciting journey through STEM.
The live stage shows will cover the history of science, explore different materials and get up close with snakes, spiders and other exciting animals.
All shows will have live BSL interpretation.
